Time passes really fast when you're having fun. It's the last and final day of Emerge! Though it's kinda sad that Emerge 2012 had ended, but it definitely ended with an awesome finale! Like the previous services, the dancers came on stage before service started to teach us the dance for Today Is The Day. I can totally memorise the dances moves by heart already!

Similar to Saturday's service, the cheerleaders and dancers put up a really cool performance and wowed us with their enthusiasm and the youth spirit! This time, I get to sit in front with all the bloggers so I enjoyed the performance more. hahaha(: They made me miss dancing so much! One of the dancers are also one of the official bloggers for Emerge.

"We're giving it all away, away. We're giving it all to go, your way!" I feel in love with that praise song, it's so catchy and loud! The youth singers really did an excellent job yeah! (:

"OLE, OLE OLE OLE! OLE, OLE!"

Here's presenting to you the last 2 finalists for Your Best Shot! First up is Rainie and Eugene, who performed latin dance. Their dance moves were so precise and they were smiling throughout the performance. They can really groove! Great confidence too! (:

And finally, the last finalist for Your Best Shot - Barely Acoustic! The band sang Payphone and Pumped Up Kicks wonderfully, and also engaged us by getting the audience to sing with them. As they were the last finalists, they were welcomed with a roaring applause and screams. Right behind us were their supporters who made pretty banners for them. How sweet of them! (:

Towards the end of the performance, one of their supporters came on stage to give her a bouquet of flowers. awwwwwww! :D

Catherine Koh also shared her testimony! She used to serve in Children's Church and soon, started Shineon, an organisation to help children with special needs. For her love for children, she hosts fashion shows and even went overseas to educate the children. I couldn't agree more when she said about being willing and teachable when you train. (: What a pretty lady in action!

Once again, the 4 singers sang Hope Of One Voice passionately.

Yup, this song was written by Elim Chew, a social entrepreneur and a long-time member of CHC. (: If you haven't listen to it yet, watch the video below!

Pastor Kong also preached about Building Your Own Altar today, but with different points to share. All of us need an altar for our own devotion.

1. At the beginning, Jesus built His own altar.
2. Before making major decisions, Jesus built His own altar.
3. When He was emotionally broken, Jesus built His own altar.
4. To cope with daily demands, Jesus built His own altar.
5. Under severe pressure, Jesus built His own altar.

By building our own altar, our visions and dreams will launch, we would have the ability to make major decisions and to deal with emotional brokenness.

For the finale, a video was shown in appreciation for Pastor Kong and Sun for their leadership and unfailing love for the church. 23 youths came together to record the song, The Greatest Place, which was written by Amos Ang. The lyrics of the song truly speaks of us all about how grateful we feel about being in City Harvest Church.

This is Amos Ang. (:

It was so unexpected and touching, I almost teared. :') The youths are so sweet to come up with that video! Pastor Kong and Sun were utterly speechless for a moment! Then, the youths began to share their testimonies and how City Harvest has changed their lives completely. Too touched by the video, Pastor Kong and Sun started hugging every youth standing on stage. I want a hug too! :B

After the service, there was still Games Fiesta happening at Hall 603, right up to 2.30pm! My cell group and I stayed throughout to play the games. My goal was to collect 16 stamps! (:

All the pretty models in the house!

For that afternoon, there was also Socialympic Relay/Telematch going on at the multi-purpose hall. Together with the members from JAMs Church, each team were given a few tasks to complete. Of course, the fastest team wins! Form the picture shown above and below, they were trying to move the chairs forward without them falling down and touching the floor.

This was also another Mobile Booth. With the person blindfolded and holding the maze, the others were to give him/her instructions to move the marble from the starting point to the ending point!

With the help of my cell group, I'VE ACHIEVED 16 STAMPS! :D

This cute little set of badges ARE MINE!

My EMERGE collection. Pretty cool, huh? ;)

To round this up, I'm really glad to be a part of EMERGE 2012. (: Be it one of the congregation, a performer, a designer, a balloon sculptor, I'm sure all of you have been tremendously blessed by the youths of CHC! Despite the challenges faced, we were still able to let this event be a success. Thank you Pastor Kong and Sun for making this happen! This is a step forward for the youths to display their God-given talents, to shine for God. It always goes down to faith. With faith for God, anything is possible. By God's grace, I'm really proud to be one of the official bloggers for EMERGE 2012, serving you all! Let's all be excited for EMERGE 2013. (:

Dear all the youths out there, let's not waste our youthful days. Let's EVOLVE, as we are the future generation of City Harvest! :D

GAMES FIESTA
ARE YOU EXCITED? :D Everything is happening at Hall 603, from as early as 2pm! There was not much of a crowd at 2.30, but everyone started coming in at 3! Instantly, long queues for the game booth started to form.

Outside the hall, there were displays of the beautiful works by the fashion designers, artists and photographers!

Doesn't this design remind you of F1? By the way, it is totally hand-sewn! O:

The designers were to make use of as much recycled materials as possible to design a pretty costume that suits the theme, EVOLVE! With colourful papers to Cotton On bags used, they sure are creative!

The map of Hall 603.

Be greeted by these people too!

From 2 - 4pm, there were many matches played for Captain's Ball on Wheels. Basically, the participants were suppose to pass the ball while rolling around with their wheelchairs. The goal is for the ball to reach the goal person! Looks like they were having a lot of fun, though being 'disabled'!

Of course, it is time for the iSociety projects to be made real and on-going! The people in-charge of their own projects set up a booth each to raise awareness of their movement. Did you support them? (:

I look so funny! By the way, Mabel came for EMERGE! (:

"Leave your smokey past for a brighter future." Lights Out is a movement to encourage youths to do something more meaningful, rather than to smoke and endanger their own lives. They set up a photo booth and provided wacky accessories for us to spread the anti-smoking message! They would be the ones organising Singapore's first ever glow-in-the-dark flash mob! It would happen on 24 Novenber 2012, 8 - 10pm. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Register with them at http://www.facebook.com/LightsOuttt nowwwww! :D

The Aging Suit Simulation is really interesting! Youths were made to wear a red suit with unclear googles and gloves around to spread the message of caring for our elderly in the society. For a moment, they looked like construction workers somehow, hahaha! I didn't manage to try it on but it was indeed an innovative idea! (:

Using Facebook and Twitter, FEET as aiming to raise awareness of the rising population of elderly in the society and to care for them no matter what! If you stopped by their booth, you would be asked to write down the reasons for loving your grandparents and stick the post-it on the board. They also planned to type out ALL the messages on Twitter to promote the movement. Watch out for their mentions! (:

Just keep walking inside and you would surely be amazed by these wonderful balloon sculptures, forming the word, EVOLVE! Presenting to you, Gardens By The Bay! The volunteers spent so much time and efforts just to finish this brilliant sculpture for us to admire! Well done for your hard work. (: Many cell groups were crowding around that area, wanting to take a group photo together. Hall 603 was also decorated with pink and blue balloons. Balloons liven up people's spirits. (:

Next up, it's GAMES TIME! There were 19 game booths altogether, inclusive of the 3 mobile booths. All the games were really fun and interesting, set up by our own members! If you win or pass the game, a sticker would be given to you! Get 5 stickers to exchange for an EMERGE badge, 10 for an EMERGE T-shirt, 16 for one whole set of badges and a T-shirt, and another 3 more for a $5 Capitaland voucher! Sounds cool? (:

The first game booth Mabel and I went to was Sandwich Mania. We were suppose to make sandwiches ordered by the 'customers' by a limited time. There were bread, vegetables, cheese any many more given to us! They also have food to give away after completion of game! The food smells so delicious and tempting! Now I know why they attracted quite a lot of attention. (:

Food attracts. ;)

There was once where I played very fast, and the person asked: "Do you work in Subway?" LOL! :D

This game is really hard to play, for me. There would be 3 people, at a time, picking up marbles from the bowl of coloured water with the chopsticks. It really takes skill to pick up a wet marble!

Draw Something not with your fingers on iPhones, but with markers on papers!

Wonder Woman (Kelvan's artwork) , Michael Jackson and Bruce Lee (my artwork).
HAHAHAHAHA!
Apparently, Mabel guessed my drawing correctly! I never knew someone could actually think of Bruce Lee for their answer! We were the second pair to get the sticker. :D

I remember seeing a kid attempting to play this game. Then, the purple guy 'helped' him by smashing down the cans with his hands! HAHAHA! :D

Try making a hole on the toilet paper just by flicking a rubber band! I kept hitting my own fingers for every round! :/

EMERGE SPECIAL SERVICE
For today, I didn't sit infront. Instead, I sat with my cell group, because I brought a new friend, Mabel, with me today! Quoted from my cgl, "A soul is more important than blogging." hahaha!

The dancers and cheerleaders had got SWAG yo! With their cool dance moves and enthusiasm, they performed really well! It looks so fun being thrown up by the cheerleaders and doing flips! I want to be a flyer someday. (:

For Your Best Shot, only one finalist performed today, which is none other than the gorgeous Abigail Yeo! Her strong vocals and expressions never fails to touch us.

All her supporters were waving lightsticks and their 'lighted' phones! What a beautiful sight!

"Will you hear the cry? Will you give that hope? Will you be the help of this one voice?"

This song is truly inspirational and touching. It speaks of those little kids with no hope of their future, and we should do extra to make a difference in their lives. It is written by a business woman, Elim Chew, and her friend Cat Wong!

There was also a testimony shared by Div Teng. He started off joining Project Balloon Blitz and had many successful fund raises. Because of the great works he did to impact the society, he appeared in national televisions! He started DIValoons, for balloon sculptures, and was also one of the volunteers who sculpted the balloons for EMERGE! Awesome! :D
Pastor Kong preached about Building Your Own Altar. If you didn't catch his sermon, here are the points that he shared.
1. An altar is a place of sanctity
2. An altar is a place of surrender
3. An altar is a place of service
4. An altar is a place of shaping
5. An altar is a place of sight
After the service, there were Fashion Design and YBS showcases in Hall 603 too! Game booths were there all the way until 10pm that day! WOAH.

Stay tuned for my last post for EMERGE!
