Disclaimer: Sorry for all the words and no pictures for this post! All the pictures are taken by the teachers and I have no idea if they're gonna upload it somewhere. Good luck reading, it's gonna be long. (:

Day 1; 14 Nov 2012
Be ready to be disconnected from the world for 4 days. Yup, we surrendered all our valuables to the teachers for the whole Sports Trip. No phones, no wallets, no listening to music in earphones, no being anti-social. hahaha. My assigned buddy is Claris! (: We took the coach to Gopeng (Ipoh) and reached there at about 6pm. It's a total of 11 hours of eating and sleeping, like a pig. For our first break for some snacks, Claris bought small fish crackers so when her fishes became crumbs, she'll go "My fishes died!" LOL she's so retarded! :P
I totally forgot that Camp Nomad is inside a kampong, my expectations were a little higher then reality. 35 people had to squeezed inside the back of the lorry to bring us to the campsite. Oh wells, gotta get use to it 'cause that's the only vehicle we had. Our camp is literally in the 'forest', no kidding! There are 5 dorms and a small shelter as the canteen. The toilets, you can never imagine them. It's just a big round pail-looking thing with a cutout door. No lights, no hooks, nothing but the shower directly on top. That's how basic the camp facilities are. It felt like we're back to the past, where there's no technology at all. We are trained to survive in the wild lol. There are disgusting bugs everywhere, and a cat that loiters around! I hate cats. D: However, Mr Kuah loves cats! Just a few strokes from him makes the cat fall in love with him instantly. FORBIDDEN LOVE HAHAHA! :D We were all watching him in case he didn't wash his hands. :P
Showering time, the worse thing of all. Now I know the importance and the value of my toilet at home! (: We all had to use our torchlights to shine in the toilet from above so that we can see. It's so inconvenient and troublesome. ): We can't go without our torchlights, it's so dark! Our beds are double-bunked and I took the top bed (I was afraid that the bed would collapse lol) I'm so looking forward to the next day, it's white water rafting and high elements course! (:

Day 2; 15 Nov 2012
When someone wakes up, everyone wakes up. I woke up at 5.30am. O: My group did white water rafting first! We took the lorry again. -.- The current was quite strong and the water was so cold! First, we were made to float down the river until a rope is thrown to us. At the first rapid, I think everyone literally crashed down! It's like that feeling when you're drowning. I was with Natasha, Faith and another swimmer/hockey player. It was the best activity ever, a fun experience for us. (: Going down the rapid was the best! Before the rapid comes, the guide would shout 'boom boom', signaling everyone to get inside the raft (we were sitting on the edge when rowing) and then we just go down like that! I kept screaming, heh. :P Natasha was hoping that all of us would capsize but she capsized herself first, and even lost her shoe! aiyoooooo. When we were waiting for other rafts, she was playing with the paddle, and the paddle floated away. LOL SO EPIC! :D What sucks was sitting in the middle of two people who loves to splash water! I was practising to splash water with my paddle and didn't realise that I was actually splashing the guide behind me, so he splashed back at me. That stupid Natasha wanted to splash the guide but instead, all the water was on my face! I'm like being splashed on both sides. :B
After lunch, high elements time! My team started off by playing 'Mother of Knots', which is basically getting the 'mother' to untangle everyone. Then, we went to see bats in a cave! I'm kinda scared of these black creatures. X: There are 2 ropes for us to cross the cave with our bodies moving sideways. I was so scared that I might slip and fall into the water and wake the bats up! The bats' eyes are like shining it's so freaky and cool at the same time. Finally, we got to attempt the high elements! The Mountain School made use of trees and the nature to create a course of obstacles for us that includes super thin wooden planks hanging down for us to cross. I'm not exactly afraid of heights but it's really scary, especially when we have to do the hooking on the strings ourselves! Half the time, we were transferring the hooks from one string to another. After I completed Rock 2, I really felt that accomplishment in me. It's like, omg I actually completed that! The last part was the most difficult because we had to climb down this thick tree trunk and we might just slip and fall into the leaves anytime (even though there are hooks). It's indeed a challenge and a test of courage, to overcome our fears and complete every obstacle right 'til the end.
Back to our dorm, a snake appeared beside Gwyneth's bed. D: We were not sleeping so Mdm Lim told us all to stand outside and look at the stars. The sky was amazing, it's all glittering and brightly lit by the stars! We can never see that in Singapore. Anyway, it's out last night sleeping in those creaky beds! We're moving on to luxury tomorrow. :D

Day 3; 16 Nov 2012
Caving; it's a whole new experience. I always thought that caves are underground. O: This cave is so huge and filled with unique shapes of the stones. With a little imagination, simply join the dots and different things and animals can be formed. (: The stairs are quite steep and never ending, it felt like training! Ms Lim was suggesting that if we go for caving often and train ourselves, we might become champions next year. LOL! After the dry tour, it's the wet tour. I wasn't looking forward to that 'cause it looks disgusting but it turns out not bad! Yes I really mean it when I said it's not bad lol. The water was really cold and it was really dark, but it's a once in a lifetime experience! (: Claris kept clinging on to me, wait more like I'm clinging to her 'cause I was afraid that I would kick a big rock and fall or something. :B The water could go up to our waist, and for some small tunnels, we actually had to bend down on our knees and climb our way through the murky water! It's disgusting but we got used to it somehow. The guide also told us to off our torchlights and experience total darkness for a while. After walking for so long, we finally reached our starting point! I see light again. :D
It was a mad rush from queuing in the toilet to change our clothes to having packet lunch and boarding the ferry to Pangkor Island. Pangkor Island looks quite relaxing because it's has the sun, the sand and the sea. (: There was a taxi to drive us to our destination as the island was quite big! Mr Kuah made another cat fall in love with him again. I can literally imagine him as a man with lots of cats in the house hahaha. (: My group went for kayaking first. I was with Faith, a really good partner. She was so strong, and she was the one controlling the directions of the boat. Whenever my arms are tired of paddling, I know I have her. hahaha! (: We paddled from the beach all the way to a small island, where we proceed to snorkeling. Before that, we had to do some 'mountain climbing' to get to the other side of the island. It was so scary, especially when we were climbing down. The hill is so steep! Snorkeling was a horrible experience, I didn't even enjoy it. ): Firstly, I was worried that I might sink even though I had a life jacket. The water went into my eyes and stung them so I can't really see anything in the water. >.< Someone saw a clown fish! Wait, but aren't clown fishes located at the bottom of the sea with the corals? I don't know, maybe something that looks like it. I was so disappointed. ):
I'm rooming with Claris, Shona and Jolie for the one-night stay at Pangkor Island Beach Resort! The restaurant looks like Marché, and the food was heavenly. ♥ We were so deprived of and looking forward to this, and it's finally here. :D I think I ate a little too much though. :P Peak Kee ate a whole plate of dinner + cream of asparagus + a whole plate of desserts! And she's still so skinny. >.< Ms Lim scolded us again for some reasons, it was a bit mood-ruining. I mean, who would be so stupid to go out to the beach and risk their lives when it's so dark?! Just saying. We weren't allowed to loiter around so we made ourselves cosy in the room. X Factor was showing on the television, I bet everyone was watching that at night! (: Time for some good night's sleep for such a long day. (:

Day 4; 17 Nov 2012
Breakfast was another delicious meal, loved it! We had time to explore the resort before packing up and leaving the place. :D I was strolling in the beach and catching hermit crabs with Audrey and Gwyneth. I love them so much. ♥ The bus ride back was much livelier, I guess we really bonded quite well as a track team. I had a chance to talk to new faces from other event groups. (: Gossip sessions = Claris talking and everyone listening. :D Did I mention that she sleeps like a turtle? On the bus/ferry, normal people would sleep sitting down but she chooses to face the chair back and crouch in a turtle position, like the position when you're praying. Occasionally, she would fall out of her chair! The funniest sleeping position I've ever seen. :P Mdm Lim was listening and laughing with us too. When everyone got back their phones, the first thing we did was to check the results of X Factor. Like totally LOL! I was so shocked and depressed that America didn't support Jennel Garcia as much. ): She deserves better and should stay in the competition! Sorry for digressing. :P Anyway, despite all the scoldings we got, it was one of the best trips in my lifetime. Those experiences were so memorable and unforgettable, and what's more than bonding and having fun with the team? (: We see each other almost everyday but we never got to bond due to our different event groups and all. Claris was an awesome buddy, I'm glad to be paired with her! ♥ How many times do you get to do those dangerous and wild activities?! And ending up with a great resort, the $150 was totally worth it. I hope I get a chance to go for Sports Trip again. (:
