The rain, the winter spring has made us fade away
I really wonder how you feel on these nights so alone
On a happier note, the whole Track and Field team helped to organise Special Olympics Singapore on Saturday and it was a success! Special Olympics Singapore is an event for the ones that are a bit mentally slow and has disabilities. But hey, they are humans like us too, right? (: They played Bocce - a game where one has to throw a ball and gets it closest to the white ball. It is somewhat like pool. The whole morning to afternoon, the referees and the stage marshals, especially the referees, stood under the sun. The heat was UNBEARABLE, everyone was sun burnt. The kids are so cute and loving, it's fun interacting with them. (: Teresa, Delia and I were in-charge of one of the courts. We were always under the sun, waiting for the competitors to play in our court. How responsible and efficient are we, right? :3
Unofortunately, all my happiness faded away later. Guess what? I lost my pink watch. ): I placed it on the bench and the next moment, it's gone! Why would anyone want to steal, and why must it always be my stuff? I was really depressed and angry but I don't think I'm telling my parents about it. They would just kill me and not buy anything for me anymore. >.< Gotta save up for another one then.
Overall, I'm glad to know that we've made the participants happy. :D There are medals prepared for the champions too! And I'm happy to know that I've earned the 7 hours of CIP! It's not really easy, standing under the sun the whole day and all, but we've earned the hours and made the event a success! Ms Lim was really proud of us. :D
Yup, after the event, I went to church straight away. Apparently, I was wearing a BLUE pinafore with a GREEN house tee inside and carrying a LIME GREEN bag. Totally colour-blocked, I know. :B Anvis said that I looked like a BROCCOLI. Then everyone started calling me that! I became a vegetable, lol.
Dr. Kim Sang Hae preached for the service but I couldn't really understand her English so I was listening to the Chinese translation instead. (: We were doodling too! :P
Younger sisters are such annoying creatures, according to me. Nowadays, my sister has gone really overboard. I've been tolerating her for very long already and really, I can't stand it anymore. Probably, I'll have peace in my mind after ranting about it here. Bear with me, yeah? (:
Firstly, SHE SCREAMS EVERYDAY. I don't know what's her problem but she can't live without screaming for no apparent reason. She screams at me, at my mum, at my dad, and I'm not sure if she screams at her friends too. Can't she just talk calmly? Must she scream and get so worked up? With her screaming all day long, nobody can concentrate on their work. I think the neighbours will complain about us soon.
She shows no respect at all, to anybody. When my parents ask her to do stuff, she'll just scream and throw a tantrum. Like seriously? I'll boil and become super angry whenever she does that. WHERE'S HER RESPECT? Kids nowadays are ... *shakes head*. And my parents just let her be like that everyday. WHAT?! It's okay for them but it's so not okay for me alright! Shockingly, she's a trainee prefect in school. I bet she acts all nice and obedient in front of her friends and teachers. She expects people to respect her in school and but shows no respect at home? What is this.
She just goes around with a rude and bitchy attitude. She thinks she's always right. I just cannot stand it when she calls my parents stupid, idiot or whatever. If she says that to me, I'll just ignore her but to her parents?! NO WAY. You know, I'm a very agitated person and sometimes, I really feel like bursting with rage at her. But I'm nice, hahaha! Just joking. (: She's really getting on my nerves. Does she even know how it feels like being called that?! URGHHHHHHHH. Unless she needs something from you, she'll be filled with angst. But if you reject her, that's worse. She's gonna scream and shout and rolls her eyes and all. I've gotten used to her childish acts but she's really ashivedsnvks!!! Then when my friends come, she became a totally different person, acting all shy and all.
I could go on and on about her if I could but I'll just stop here. Not that I hate her but she's really annoying. Gahhhhh.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. - Martin Luther King Jr.
Why is the world like this? There must be something wrong, I don't deserve this at all. Even if I did, this is too much already. When I thought everything's okay, this pops out.
Why should I accept the consequences for something I did not do?
Accused, yet there's nothing I can do about it. You just don't believe me, you never tried to. You don't know anything at all. Where is the justice? You think they're totally right? There's no trust at all. I'm so pissed, I don't even wanna talk about it anymore.
As you all know, CHC Emerge is here again for the youths! It's my second year experiencing this and it's gonna be exciting! Basically, the theme for 2012 is Evolve, a movement which allows the youths to use their God-given talents to evolve this society and influence the world! Who says youths can't give back to the society? (: This time, there are a large variety of events for us to participate in like modified sports, photography, fashion design and many more! One of the newest events are related to social problems in the society. Last year, I participated in Your Best Shot with a piano piece but I feel that it was not very nice. This year, I believe that God is going to create miracles for me and JIAMEI! She's my partner for this Emerge. (:
She's such an awesome babe, a person whom I can trust and share my problems with. ♥
Your Best Shot
Jiamei and I are doing a cover for Unfaithful! It is one of my favourites, and I really like the instrumental version of it! Since Jiamei sings practically EVERYDAY, it should turn out quite well, I hope. :D Currently, I'm learning the piano version of Unfaithful on piano! Stay tune for our cover soon, hahaha! Please support! (:
Songwriting
Now, this is the tough one. I've never tried writing any songs in my lifetime! And the song is suppose to be in relation to Social Issues or Nation Building. My language skills are not very good either so I can't come up with such literary words. Until now, I have no inspiration at all! heh. I'm so not good at this. I would have to rely on Jiamei a lot! :P
Blogging Challenge
Well, that explains why I'm blogging about Emerge now! Though it's quite hard for me to be shortlisted for the top 10, I'm just gonna try for it 'cause I like to blog! (: If there are not many participants, I might stand a chance! Just joking, hahaha. The chosen bloggers will have exclusive access to various events and going behind the scenes! COOL RIGHT! There would also be priority seats for all preaching sessions, that means we get to sit at the front! Also, this blog would be made official for Emerge 2012! HOW AWESOME IS THAT! :D
Exams are over, and I don't have to worry about school work anymore! Just got back our English GA, and I'm predicting a B4 for my English this term. Everyone thinks the English CA was manageable except me! :X Whatever, not going to worry about my results. At least I know I've studied!
The list of things I wanna do:
☐ Bake something
☐ Catch up on Korean dramas
☐ Watch movies online
☐ Shop at Orchard, Bugis and Far East Plaza
☐ Play some pop songs on piano
☐ Tie different kinds of braids
☐ Write songs with JiaMei
☐ Get a dress!
and many many more!(: I'M EXCITED.
Just yesterday, it's Mother's Day service. & I did not bring my camera and specs. So amazing right? What's more, we're sitting right at the back! I can't really see anything. ): Children's Church led the praise and worship and they brought many animal mascots along! I saw the cow. :B They had a short drama with the kids. Some of them can rap and do flips! Gosh, I'm impressed. After service, we went to take pictures with the mascots. Yes, I took a picture with my twin, the cow. LMAO. Biggest joke ever!
It has arrived with a complimentary gift! (:
Chicken cheese sausage with Rosti was delicious! JiaMei was jealous, hahaha. (: There was only a few of us so it's only 8.30 after we had our dinner! We had plenty of time! We wanted to walk to Bugis but we failed. :P Instead, we went to the arcade at Dhoby Gauht.
JiaQi was really good at grabbing stuff! With less than $20, we grabbed loads of soft toys! :D There was once where we saw 3 soft toys just above the hole which was closed. When we tapped the card, the hole opened and ALL 3 DROPPED! I WENT REALLY HIGH AND WAS JUMPING AROUND! :D The happiness of getting all 3 with just a try!
You jelly? :P
Next, on to BishiBashi. We were practically bashing the buttons and going crazy. JunWei got so intensed, he made some buttons spoiled. LOL! We had a really fun time at the arcade! Gotta grab some more toys there next time. (:
JiaMei, JiaQi and I were laughing over this in the MRT.
Oh Dory! (:
That's all for now. It's Mother's Day today, and I really wanna thank my mum for all that she has done for me. Though she gets agitated easily, she's easy to get along with and understands me! ♥ you mum!
The greatest love next to God's love, is the love of a mother. ♥
Heylo! After all the intensive mugging and stressful CAs, I'm back! Tomorrow's my last exam which is literature but I don't bother. What's there to study than memorise quotes? Even Ms Tan encourages last-minute study for literature. AWESOME MUCH! :D Now, it's
JAYESSLEE'S APAC TOUR; 050512! ♥
Yet another wonderstruck concert! The concert's like 3 days before CAs, but it's Jayesslee! :D Thank God LIYING managed to get the tickets for us. LiYing and I met at Stadium MRT and went to search for food. Stadium MRT looks like the exterior of a ship! lol. Before that, an usher asked if we were here for the concert and told us that there's merchandise sold at the back! We got so excited, we just left him there. HAHAHA. :P Both of us bought the shirt and the poster! At least it wasn't that expensive as the Greyson Chance shirt! We changed to the shirts. Anyway, LiYing promised to tie a waterfall braid on my hair. (: Unfortunately, there's not much food there so we got ourselves Yoguru while waiting for Benecia and her brother to arrive. We took a really long time finding them 'cause Benny gave the wrong direction! Typical Benny. (: They were eating cup noodles at the carpark. Her brother asked about Benny in school and we told him every embarrassing thing she does, including throwing away the remote control and a phone. LMAO CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?! Her brother was telling us about how she dropped her phone into the toilet bowl 5 times and he had to fish it out. Poor brother! :P
After that, Benny bought the bundle set too, and changed on the spot. Don't worry, she's wearing a tank inside. (: The security was really tight. Before entering, the securities would check our bags for any bombs hidden. O: For a moment, I thought they were gonna confiscate my camera! Though we sat at the second floor, the view was not bad. (:
Janice! ♥
Sonia! ♥
awesome stage set up!
The concert only started at 8. Photography and video-taking was only allowed for the first 2 songs. ): See what I mean by tight security? We were so excited that we kept screaming and shouting from them! It's my second time hearing them sing 'cause they visited my church last year! :D Honestly, I think we were the youngest and the noisiest among the people from the second level. All St Nicks girls have a talent to scream. (: We were really enthu. :D Halfway, we did a standing ovation for them too! Janice told us that the shirt they're selling was hand-drawn by her, stroke by stroke! It's so nice. (: Love their accents and how they're 'mixed-blood'! :D Andy was there as a drummer and the person who beat the cajon for "Officially Missing You". When Sonia and Andy were whispering something about the stage and all, the audience was like "Wooooo!" They're so sweet together! ♥ Both Janice and Sonia had a mini Beat-Box Competition, they were really cool rapping! :D
Here are the songs they sang:
Jet Lag, Secrets, I Won't Give Up, Safe and Sound, Coming Home, A Thousand Years, Isn't She Lovely, Officially Missing You, Just The Way You Are, Payphone, Failure in Disguise (original song), Dare You To Move, Price Tag, and Amazing Grace for encore! ♥
Their voices, so dreamy and beautiful. ♥
Almost at the end of the encore, we shouted to Andy and Sonia replied us! WE WERE SO HAPPY!!! :D
Us: LOVE YOU ANDY!
Sonia: Sorry, he's taken! (now you know how loud we were!)
awwwwwww, Sonia! ♥
our Jayesslee shirts! ♥
bought this for Ameline too. (:
There's this really smart youtuber, KISSTHESUNDROPZ, who recorded ALL of their songs! Though it's only audio, I'm really thankful for her! She's like the only one who uploaded everything on Youtube. :D Here's ending with some songs that I really, really, LOVE. Enjoy! (:
if only she stopped clapping and cheering!
Anyway, I really love my OOTD! It's a crop tank with jeans and a camera necklace! (:
